What the world is doing

≈ $100 billion. 90 years. Still no excess energy.

Nuclear fusion – the same process that powers the sun and stars – is often hailed as the ultimate source of clean, safe, and limitless energy for humanity.

In 1920, Sir Arthur Eddington first proposed that nuclear fusion was the force fueling the Sun. In 1932, Mark Oliphant successfully demonstrated the first fusion reaction at the Cavendish Laboratory in the UK.

The world’s first Tokamak, T-1, began operation in 1958 at the Kurchatov Institute in Moscow.

Since then, nearly a century and over $100 billion have been spent on fusion research – and yet, not a single watt of net energy (thermal or electric) has been produced.

Misleading claims continue to circulate – citing only plasma energy while ignoring the total energy input into the system. The truth? No reactor has ever broken even.

I am Constantin Tomoiu, the inventor of Tomoiu Internal Confinement Fusion (TICF) – a groundbreaking response to the urgent global climate crisis. Unlike other fusion approaches, TICF is the only proven technology that converts mass into energy efficiently
